You may be eligible for a small business grant

Asheville Recovers Together grant applications are now open!

If your business is located within Asheville city limits and experienced financial losses due to Helene, you may be eligible for a grant between $5,000 and $75,000.

You can apply now at ashevillerecoverstogether.org.

You can sign up for one of our Black and BIPOC Business Days here.

Before you start, a few things to know:

  • Free support is available. You don't have to navigate this alone. Application support events are happening now, and you can schedule a free one-on-one appointment with a Technical Assistance provider.

  • Noir Collective, The People's Place, and YMI Cultural Center are co-hosting Black and BIPOC Business Days on June 29 and July 8. This is a chance to work on your application together with other folks. Support will be offered, as well as food and camaraderie. Read more about it and sign up here.

  • The application is detailed. Start by drafting your responses in the editable application form and set aside adequate time and gather your supporting documents.

  • Allow 30-45 minutes to submit your application in the online portal. The application portal is linked in the “Apply Now” button at the top of the program website.

  • All complete applications submitted by July 14 at noon receive equal consideration.

  • Physical damage is not required and financial losses alone may qualify you.

  • Receiving other relief funding (SBA loans, insurance, other grants) does not disqualify you.
